In 2026, ANGEL will host a conference in Bologna on 10 &11 September 2026 to promote and showcase recent and current research, including policy-focused work.

The Conference intends to attract a large volume of presentations from early career researchers. However, proposals for papers and participants will be welcome from all ANGEL members, policy-makers and practitioners in the field of global education and learning. 

This Conference aims to build on the traditions of ANGEL’s previous conferences, including the events particularly for early career researchers, and to expand upon the dialogue of the 2025 Berlin Conference.

The Conference will aim to address the richness and variety of research taking place around the world that brings in perspectives for addressing today’s global challenges and pedagogical approaches that envision a more just and sustainable world.
