Italian Strategy for Global Citizenship Education Launched.

On February 28th the Italian Strategy for Global Citizenship Education was presented in a meeting of the National Council for Cooperation and Development (CNCS), within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

This document is the result of multi-stakeholder work, which involved Ministries, Local Authorities, NGOs, university and civil society networks, and promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This document provides a shared framework for a long-term vision of GCE, and is expected to ensure structural support, constant funding, coordination and policy coherence. Nobody can foresee whether or not this Strategy will be effective, but for the moment we celebrate its formal approval.
